Gżira United Face Tough Test Against Marsaxlokk

Gżira United face a difficult challenge when they take on Marsaxlokk in a VBET Malta Premier encounter at the Tony Bezzina Stadium later on today, with kick-off scheduled for 7pm.

The two sides enter the contest experiencing contrasting fortunes, with Marsaxlokk occupying second place on 17 points, while Gżira United find themselves struggling in 11th position with just five points.

The Maroons are still searching for their first league victory of the campaign, having registered five draws and five defeats in their opening ten matches.

Marsaxlokk, meanwhile, will be determined to consolidate their position among the leading contenders and maintain their challenge near the top of the standings.

The Southseasiders also have encouraging memories of their most recent meeting with Gżira, having secured a 2-1 victory last April.

However, Gżira will be hoping to exploit home advantage and produce a much-needed positive result.

With both teams requiring points for different reasons, an intriguing encounter is anticipated.
