Gianni Infantino To Attend Malta FA 125th Anniversary Events

The Malta Football Association has announced that FIFA President Gianni Infantino will visit Malta next week to take part in a series of events marking the Association’s 125th anniversary.
He will be accompanied by FIFA officials as well as Italian football legends Fabio Cannavaro and Christian Vieri.
The visit will see the launch of Malta’s first-ever FIFA Arena pitch at Maria Regina College Primary School in St Paul’s Bay.

The pitch forms part of a global FIFA initiative that aims to create 1,000 mini-football grounds around the world, giving children safe and inclusive spaces to play and learn.
The school was chosen for Malta’s first pitch because of its diverse community of 700 students from 51 different nationalities.
A special event will also take place at the newly built National Football Centre in Ta’ Qali. The centre includes a Category 1 stadium that meets UEFA requirements, as well as areas for sports science, medical care, relaxation, administration and conferences.
The Malta FA’s Technical Centre will relocate to the new premises later this year.
The inauguration will be attended by Infantino, Malta FA President Bjorn Vassallo, Prime Minister Robert Abela and UEFA Vice President Jesper Møller. The anniversary celebrations will also include speeches and a Q&A with Fr Hilary Tagliaferro.
