GĦAXAQ WOLVES CLOSE TO DEFENDING MAFA FIRST DIVISION TITLE

Għaxaq Wolves are edging closer to successfully defending their MAFA First Division title after opening a six-point lead at the top of the standings.
The Wolves strengthened their position with a convincing 3–0 victory over Balluta Barracudas, while their closest challengers, Marsa St Michael’s, suffered a surprising 4–3 defeat against Valletta Stars St Dominic.
Għaxaq made their intentions clear early in the match, taking the lead in the seventh minute through Diego Fernando Pereira. Andrew Ejike Obetta doubled the advantage in the 22nd minute, giving the Wolves firm control before half-time. In the second half, the side led by Justin Felice sealed the result when Stanimir Miloskovic added a third goal to secure the comfortable win.
