Għaxaq Wolves AFC Claim Fourth Consecutive MAFA First Division Title

Għaxaq Wolves AFC were declared champions of the MAFA First Division following a 2-2 draw against Marsa St Michael, a result that proved sufficient to secure the title with one match still to play.

The draw confirmed Għaxaq Wolves’ dominance within the association, as they claimed their fourth consecutive league title, continuing a remarkable rise from the Third Division to the top tier.

Marsa St Michael took the lead through Coutinho Junior Joao Marcello in the 28th minute, but Geonaga Cervantes Bryan Alfredo equalised for Għaxaq on 35 minutes. In the second half, Zvezden Vukovic put Għaxaq ahead on 65 minutes, before Marsa rescued a point in stoppage time through Ayoubah Fona.

The trophy presentation is scheduled for 16 May following their final fixture against San Ġiljan Saints.
