Għaxaq Strengthen Their Lead At The Top Of The First Division Standings

Għaxaq consolidated their position at the top of the table with an emphatic 21-3 victory over Żebbuġ during the 18th round of the National First Division Bocci League.

With just four matches remaining in the 2026 season, Għaxaq now lead the standings on 17 points. Msida remain in second place despite suffering a 21-10 defeat to Lija. Qormi San Bastjan defeated St. Peter's Żabbar 21-12, while Żurrieq claimed a convincing 21-7 win over San Ġwann to draw level with Żabbar on 12 points. Birkirkara overcame Santa Venera 21-6, and Buġibba continued their climb up the standings with a 21-10 victory against Żejtun.

Għaxaq stay top with 17 points, with Msida behind on 13 points. Żurrieq and St. Peter's Żabbar both have 12 points, with Żejtun on 10 poins. Lija sit in sixth place with 8 points, with Birkirkara and San Ġwann just under with 7 points.

Buġibba, Santa Venera, and Qormi San Bastjan have 6 points, while Żebbuġ remain at the bottom with 4 points.
