Għaxaq Boċċi Club Maintain Positive Run

Għaxaq strengthened their position at the top of the National First Division Bocci Championship after recording an impressive 21-4 victory over Birkirkara in the 15th round of the competition.

The Għaxaq side once again displayed a high standard of play and remarkable consistency, producing a dominant performance that enabled them to maintain their excellent run of form as the championship enters its decisive stages. The victory further boosts their hopes of finishing at the top of the table and ultimately securing the league title.

Behind them, Msida registered a comfortable 21-3 win over Buġibba, while St Peter's Żabbar defeated Żejtun 21-4 to keep pace with the leading teams.

In the closest encounter of the round, Żurrieq edged past Żebbuġ 21-18 after a hard-fought contest. Meanwhile, Lija overcame Santa Venera 21-8, while San Ġwann claimed an away victory over Qormi San Bastjan by a score of 21-17.

Għaxaq currently top the standings with 14 points, followed by Msida with 12 points. St Peter's Żabbar sit in third with 11 points, with Żurrieq and Żejtun with 9 points each. Lija have 7, with Birkirkara and San Ġwann having 6 each. Santa Venera sit fourth from last with 5 points. Buġibba and Qormi San Bastjan have 4 points each, while Żebbuġ sit at the bottom with 3 points.
