Four Players Battle For Place In The Champion Of Malta Final

The eagerly awaited semi-finals of the Champion ta' Malta tournament will be played today, with four players aiming to secure their place in tomorrow’s final.

Mevrick Zammit, Nordai Desira, Chaylon Castaldi and Ryan Pisani all booked their places in the semi-finals after winning their respective quarter-finals.

Castaldi and Desira recorded identical 8-7 victories over Darren Schembri and Clint Azzopardi respectively. Zammit eliminated 2022 champion Clayton Castaldi with an 8-5 victory, while Ryan Pisani produced a consistent performance to defeat last year’s champion Johan Attard 8-4.

The semi-finals will be played at Juventus Club Vero Amore in Birkirkara. Zammit faces Chaylon Castaldi at 6pm, with Nordai Desira taking on Ryan Pisani at 8pm for the second place in tomorrow’s final.
