Floriana FC announce third contract extension with key defender Carlo Zammit Lonardelli

Floriana FC are leaving no stone unturned in their preparation for next season, as they have confirmed that Maltese international Carlo Zammit Lonardelli has signed a new contract with the club, reinforcing his status as one of the Greens’ most influential figures.

Long regarded as one of the defensive rocks of the team, Lonardelli continues to play a central role in enhancing Floriana’s performances both on and off the pitch. He has been instrumental in maintaining high standards within the squad, with his consistency, work ethic and defensive prowess, proving vital throughout recent campaigns. This is Floriana's third contract extension, after confirming midfielder Charles M’Mombwa and captain Dunstan Vella. This shows Floriana's hard work in their preparations for the 2026/2027 season, while still fighting for silverware this season.
