Father & Son Shine At Milano BJJ Summer Cup

BJJ Team Malta delivered an exceptional performance at the Milano BJJ Summer Cup, led by the standout achievements of father and son duo, Keith and Kyle Darmanin.
Keith, a black belt instructor, moved up to a heavier weight class and dominated the division.
He secured four gold medals across Gi, No-Gi, Absolute Gi, and Absolute No-Gi, winning six consecutive matches without conceding a single point. His performance showcased his technical precision and physical dominance.
Kyle Darmanin followed his father’s example with an equally impressive showing in the juvenile blue belt category. He claimed double gold in both Gi and No-Gi divisions, demonstrating refined technique, sharp transitions, and remarkable composure for his age.
Adding to the team’s triumph, Suhrab Anvari earned his first victory in the blue belt No-Gi bracket with a precise crucifix shoulder lock.
He then secured silver in the Gi division with a well-executed triangle choke.
Despite having only three competitors, BJJ Team Malta finished third overall in both Gi and No-Gi categories, outperforming many larger teams.
