F1 Grid Unites for Annual End-of-Season Dinner

The Formula 1 grid gathered for their customary end-of-season dinner in Abu Dhabi, though a few familiar faces were missing. Fernando Alonso, Nico Hülkenberg and Lance Stroll were the only drivers not in attendance, leaving 17 of the sport’s 20 racers to take part in the annual tradition.
Each year, the drivers set aside the intensity of championship battles to enjoy an evening together as the exclusive group of athletes who compete at the highest level of motorsport. This season was no different — except for the absentees — as the rest of the grid headed out for dinner, many sharing glimpses of the night on social media.
Lewis Hamilton posted a photo titled “Class of 2025”, writing:
“We’re the only people in the world to do what we do and for that we’re incredibly lucky.
“I’m grateful for this group of drivers I have the privilege of racing against and even though we’re competitors, there’s nothing but respect and I’m proud to call them friends.
“Hope to give you all a great last race of the season.”
Lando Norris opted for humour in his caption: “traditions (no food was thrown during this dinner)”, while George Russell referred to it as the “yearly dinner with the boys”.
Yuki Tsunoda also shared a light-hearted comment, joking that there had been a “white shirt dress code, not all of us got the memo”.
As for who covered the bill — that remains a mystery, continuing one of the more playful talking points that always surrounds the drivers’ annual get-together.
