Extra Bus Services Announced for Malta vs Luxembourg Play‑Off

Malta Public Transport has announced a series of additional services to accommodate the large crowds expected for the Nations League promotion play‑off between Malta and Luxembourg on Thursday, 26 March 2026. The extra routes are intended to ensure safe, efficient and convenient travel to and from the National Stadium in Ta’ Qali.

Three direct services will operate from Valletta, Żurrieq and Paola, while extra trips will be added to key routes departing from Valletta, Bugibba, Sliema and the University. These include additional journeys on Routes 403, 56, 186 and 202, scheduled to align with pre‑match travel demand.

All Tallinja Card holders will be able to travel free of charge on both regular and additional services, while non‑card holders may purchase a €2 ticket on board. After the match, buses will be stationed near the stadium, departing according to demand towards Valletta, Sliema, St Paul’s Bay, Żurrieq and Paola. Inspectors will be present to guide passengers and ensure smooth boarding.
