Ħamrun Spartans' travel nightmare shows no signs of ending, once again, with the team unable to continue their journey from Bergen, Norway, this morning due to persistent adverse weather conditions.

Sources close to Malta Daily Sports have confirmed that the team's latest attempt to fly out of Norway proved unsuccessful, leaving the squad stranded for another day as they continue their efforts to reach the Faroe Islands ahead of their UEFA Conference League qualifier today.

The club's European journey took an unexpected turn after severe weather disrupted their travel plans. Having already experienced significant delays departing Malta, worsening fog and extremely low visibility at Vágar Airport forced their flight to divert to Bergen, where the squad has remained since.

CEO Marcel Bonnici previously described the situation as "chaotic and unprecedented", revealing that players and staff spent more than eight hours confined on the aircraft while authorities monitored weather conditions before the diversion was confirmed.

With emergency accommodation arranged in Norway and uncertainty still surrounding their arrival in the Faroe Islands, Ħamrun Spartans remain in a race against time to prepare for one of the biggest matches of their European campaign. The club continues to prioritise the welfare of its players and staff while awaiting a safe opportunity to complete the journey.
