DOMINANT WINS DEFINE FUTSAL LEAGUE MATCHWEEK 4 AS LEADERS EXTEND THEIR GRIP

The Maltese futsal league delivered another thrilling week of action, with commanding victories and standout performances across both men’s and women’s competitions.

In the men’s league, University of Malta Futsal continued their perfect run, crushing Santa Venera Lightnings Futsal 12–2 to maintain their position at the top of the table with 12 points from four games. Luxol St. Andrews Futsal showcased their attacking firepower with an emphatic 18–0 win over Futsal Selection U17, as Gatt Luke and Buhagiar Aiden each netted four goals. Żejtun Corinthians Futsal WA also impressed, defeating Sliema Futsal Fort Fitness 8–4 to stay in contention, while Marsaskala Futsal Legends secured a 4–0 victory over Futsal Selection U19, asserting dominance early with three goals in the opening minutes.

After Matchweek 4, University of Malta lead with 12 points, followed by GZR Birżebbuġa St. Peter’s and Marsaskala on nine points each. Luxol and Żejtun trail closely with six points, while the bottom three Futsal Selection U19, U17, and Santa Venera remain winless.

In the women’s league, Zero Sei Futsal reaffirmed their supremacy with a 7–0 triumph over St. George’s Futsal, thanks to a first-half hat-trick from Vanessa Carneiro. Luxol Sports Club Futsal Argus kept pace with a 3–1 win over Parr Mela Rockets, while Swieqi United Futsal LEC07 earned their first points by beating St. Andrews Futsal 8–1.

Zero Sei lead the women’s standings with 12 points, followed by Luxol on nine and St. George’s on seven. Swieqi, St. Andrews, and Parr Mela complete the table, with the latter still searching for their first win.
