Construction Enters Final Phase at Ħal Far Drag Racing Facility

The redevelopment of the Ħal Far drag racing strip has now entered its final phase, with construction accelerating as Malta prepares to unveil its first fully FIA‑compliant drag racing venue. Recent updates show the project edging close to completion, with grandstand structures rising, the FIA‑spec bridge in place, and core operational areas including timing, commentary and race‑control rooms already built into the overhead structure.

The upgraded facility features a state‑of‑the‑art racing surface, new containment walls, expanded paddock areas and modern media spaces, all designed to meet international standards and support high‑level events.
