The WPA World Championships Tour 5 Ranking Final, hosted by the Malta Blackball Pool Federation, produced a compelling contest on Saturday night as Philip Coleiro and Gary Carr battled for the Men’s Tour 5 title. Carr emerged victorious with a 10–6 win, sealing not only the trophy but also his qualification for the Men’s A National Team ahead of the 2026 World Championships in London.

Carr’s performance reflected consistency, composure and sharp finishing in key frames. Coleiro started strongly, matching Carr in the early exchanges, but Carr’s tactical discipline and precise potting allowed him to pull away as the match progressed. His ability to control the table in tight moments proved decisive, earning him one of the most important victories of his season.
