Club Athletes Dominate as Wreck Race Celebrates Its 5th Anniversary

The 5th anniversary of the Wreck Race delivered another thrilling showcase of athletic grit, teamwork, and determination, with the club’s adult athletes producing an outstanding set of results. Under sunny skies, competitors tackled the demanding course with confidence, turning the milestone edition into one of the most successful yet for the club.
In the adult male overall category, Clayton Abela claimed a commanding first place, followed by Luigi Grech in second and Gabriel Borg in third. The over‑40 male division saw Ryan Scerri secure top spot, while the under‑19 category was won by Sean Porter, with Borg’s overall podium placing influencing the standings. In the women’s overall category, Mearaid Ciantar Brown delivered a dominant performance to take first place.
Coaches praised the athletes for their commitment and consistency, noting the club’s continued strength across all divisions. With podium finishes spread throughout the categories, the event highlighted the depth of talent within the club and the strong example set for younger members.
