CHARLTON DEBONO AND LISA BEZZINA WIN THE BETSSON EVOLVE 5K

The 2025 edition of the Betsson Evolve 5K marked a historic milestone on Sunday, November 23rd, as the event sold out with a record-breaking 350 athlete registrations. Organized by Evolve Endurance Club, the race returned to Ta’ Xbiex for its third consecutive year, cementing its reputation as Malta’s premier traffic-free running event.

Despite challenging weather conditions, the atmosphere remained upbeat and encouraging, with participants enjoying a flat, fast, and friendly route ideal for all fitness levels. The organizers ensured runners were well cared for, providing water, fruit, and electrolytes along the course, while every finisher proudly received a commemorative medal.

In the men’s category, Charlton Debono claimed first place overall, followed by Christian Bugeja and Christian Micallef. Among the women, Lisa Bezzina took top honors, ahead of Maria Attard Vassallo and Denise Borda. This year also introduced team awards: Debono, Bugeja, and Brahim El Khattabi won the first male team prize, while Attard Vassallo, Borda, and Paulina Trygalska secured the female team award.
