Caritas Malta has officially announced the fourth edition of Caritas Run for Life, now a staple annual event promoting physical activity and wellbeing. The 2026 edition will take place on 1 March, featuring a run or walk starting and finishing at the San Blas Therapeutic Centre in Ħaż‑Żebbuġ. Categories include a 10km race, 5km race, 5km walk, a 1km run for children aged 6–9, and 2.5km races for ages 10–12 and 13–15.

Caritas Malta Director Anthony Gatt expressed gratitude to the many supporters who make this logistically demanding event possible. He emphasised that while the run serves as a fundraiser, its primary aim is to encourage a healthy lifestyle for people of all ages. Gatt highlighted touching stories of participants who discovered the joy of physical activity through this event, as well as residents in rehabilitation who found fulfilment volunteering.

SportMalta Chairman Mark Cutajar praised Caritas’ mission, noting the event’s role in promoting national health and inclusion. St Patrick’s Athletic Club President Ray Spiteri added that the unique rural route and multiple race categories attract hundreds each year.

Main sponsors include My Convenience, My Supermarket, and The Sandra Calleja Foundation, alongside numerous organisations whose support makes the event possible.
