Brayden Buttigieg set for UK title challenge

Maltese MMA fighter Brayden Buttigieg will travel to Swindon, UK, on 24 October with a major challenge ahead as he competes for the Raged UK Amateur Lightweight Title.
Currently based in Gozo, Buttigieg has competed in MMA and kickboxing in Australia, proudly representing Malta throughout his international career. His upcoming bout provides another opportunity to fly the Maltese flag on an international stage.
Adding to the significance of the event is the presence of another Gozitan fighter, Andrew Grech, who will also compete on the same card. The pair will therefore travel from Gozo to the UK as they look to make their mark in the sport while representing Malta.
For Buttigieg, the title opportunity represents an important step in his fighting career and a chance to showcase Maltese talent abroad.
The fighter is also hoping to generate support from Maltese sports fans as preparations continue for the event, with the Gozo connection adding further local interest to an international fight night.
Both Buttigieg and Grech will be aiming to put on strong performances and proudly represent their island and country in Swindon.
