The BOV Challenge League returned for matchday 3 after a long international break, with interesting results and movement from both ends of the table.

Żebbuġ Rangers earned their first league win after losing their opening two games, edging Swieqi United 1-0 on Saturday afternoon. Attard and Melita finished in the only goalless draw of the weekend, with both sides failing to find the net.

Santa Lucia had to settle for yet another draw in their match against Żurrieq, with a late penalty securing a point for the yellows at the Centenary Stadium. Gudja United got their third consecutive defeat after narrowly losing to St Andrews 1-0.

Naxxar Lions and Mġarr United both got their second win of the season, beating Sirens 3-2 and Vittoriosa Stars 2-0, respectively.
