Blackburn Rovers And Malta Football Association Commemorate Important Anniversaries

Blackburn Rovers and the Malta Football Association came together to commemorate important milestones in their respective histories.
Both associations celebrated with a commemorative shirt exchange at Ewood Park. Rovers are marking 150 years since their formation in 1875, while the Malta FA celebrates its 125th anniversary this year. At the heart of the exchange is a symbol that connects both – the Maltese Cross.
The final game of the 2025-26 season brought together two footballing institutions celebrating landmark anniversaries, showing how football transcends boundaries by bringing different people and institutions together.
