Birzebbuga St Peter's FC Ready For First Ever Premier League Campaign

Birzebbuga St Peter's FC are ready to kick off their first ever Malta Premier League campaign after becoming the 38th team to take part in the competition's history.

The blues secured promotion after beating Swieqi United on penalties in a promotion decider played on the 23rd of April 2026, after which they went on to top off a historic season with the Challenge Cup after beating Melita 3-0 in the final played at the National Stadium.

Birzebbuga have kept the majority of their key players, while boosting their squad with various new faces, including Birkirkara midfielder Shaun Dimech and defender Alessandro Coppola, Valletta's Yuri Messias and Jackson Mendoza, and Melita's Kurt Bondin.

Head Coach Edgar Degabriele looks to repeat the success he achieved during the past two seasons at the helm of the blues, achieving back to back promotions and winning three trophies in the process.

The Malta Premier kick off date is fast approaching, with Birzebbuga's first encounter being against league champions Floriana FC.
