Birżebbuġa St. Peter's FC Name Luciano Santana Martel As New First Team Head Coach

Birżebbuġa St. Peter's FC have appointed Spanish manager Luciano Santana Martel as their new head coach following a Edgar Degabriele's resignation after four straight defeats in Malta's top flight.

The club announced that "following a run of four consecutive defeats, Birżebbuġa St. Peter’s FC can confirm that the Club has taken decisive action and appointed Luciano Santana Martel as our new Head Coach. Luciano has agreed an initial three-year contract, with the Club holding an option to extend the agreement for a further two years."

Birżebbuġa St. Peter's FC highlighted that "this appointment represents an important step in the direction and long-term ambitions of Birżebbuġa St. Peter’s FC," remarking that "Luciano will take charge of the First Team with immediate effect."

The club is set to release "a full statement introducing our new Head Coach and outlining the next chapter for the Club," warmly welcoming their new coach during this challenging period for the club.
