Birkirkara FC President Christian Cardona Vows Changes After Top Six Disappointment

Birkirkara FC president Christian Cardona has pledged significant changes following the club’s failure to qualify for the Top Six, describing the outcome as a major disappointment and insisting that immediate improvements are necessary.
In a strongly worded statement, Cardona acknowledged that the team had fallen short of expectations, stressing the need for greater determination, hunger for victory and mental toughness.
“We did not make the Top Six, and that is not good enough. Something has to change, and it will,” Cardona declared.
The Birkirkara president emphasised that the club would do whatever was necessary to build a stronger, more competitive team capable of restoring pride and achieving better results.
Cardona also paid tribute to the club’s loyal supporters, thanking them for their unwavering commitment throughout a difficult campaign.
He acknowledged their continued presence at every match, regardless of results or weather conditions, describing them as the heart of Birkirkara FC.
“You are the heart of this club, and Birkirkara FC belongs to you. We will make you proud again,” he stated.
Cardona concluded by reaffirming his determination to implement the necessary changes and restore Birkirkara’s competitive ambitions.
