Birkirkara & Hibernians Finish Level With 1-1 Draw At National Stadium

Birkirkara and Hibernians settled for a 1-1 draw at the National Stadium, after Hibernians' opener was cancelled out by Birkirkara's equaliser near the end of the game.
Alex Sobczyk put Hibernians in front in the 15th minute, as the Paolites headed into the break with the lead, Birkirkara fired back in the 76th minute, with Franklin Sasere putting the game back on level terms and earning a point for the Stripes.
With this result, Birkirkara join Ħamrun and Balzan on 7 points, while Hibernians temporarily overtake Żabbar to sit in 9th place. The Malta Premier continues today as Valletta take on Balzan and Mosta face Sliema Wanderers.
