Birkirkara AFC Win ISFA Street Football Tournament

Birkirkara AFC won the inaugural ISFA Street Football Tournament after defeating Eagles 2-1 in the final played at the 3-a-side pitch in Buġibba.

It was a closely contested match between the tournament’s two strongest teams, with Birkirkara appearing more determined to secure the title.

To reach the final, Eagles defeated Shooting Stars 4-2 in their semi-final, while Birkirkara overcame Blancos 4-1 in the other last-four encounter.

Chris Farrugia and Luke Urmani scored the goals for the winners, with Adam Yusuf pulling one back for Eagles.

As a result of their triumph, Birkirkara AFC will represent Malta at the ISFA (International Street Football Association) World Cup, which will take place in the Netherlands between the 2nd and 7th of September.
