Bike it Up Racing Hosts Successful Debut Event in Żebbuġ

Bike it Up Racing celebrated a major milestone on Sunday as it hosted its first-ever cycling event on Mdina Road, Żebbuġ, in collaboration with the Żebbuġ Local Council. More than 80 cyclists took part across youth and adult categories, marking an impressive debut for the club, now in only its second season.
The newly established team has quickly become a force in Maltese cycling, and its strength was reflected on home soil. Bike it Up Racing claimed victory in the Under‑16 Boys category through Gao Ping and dominated the Male Open Team Time Trial, winning by over two minutes.
The event featured Individual Time Trials for youth riders and Team Time Trials for adult categories a welcome return for a discipline absent from the local calendar for two years. Competitive racing and smooth organisation defined the day, earning praise from participants and officials.
Youth winners included Raphael Buhagiar (U12 Boys), Amy Micallef Cann (U12 Girls), Ethan Cumbo (U14 Boys), Mickaya Fava (U14 Girls), and Nina Debono Curmi (U16 Girls). In the adult categories, Deborah Schembri and Diana Muscat won the Female Open TTT, while Bike it Up Racing secured the Male Open title.
