On the senior stage, Sam and his partner Enrico Asuncion delivered a brilliant performance at the Peru International 2025, battling their way to the semi‑finals and securing a bronze medal in the Men’s Doubles. Their success followed closely after Matthew Abela’s bronze at the Costa Rica Future Series, marking a period of exceptional form for Malta’s top players competing abroad.

Europe brought its own celebrations, with Maltese juniors shining at the Zagreb Youth Open in Croatia. Jade Bartoli claimed an impressive 3rd place in the Girls’ Singles U11, while Matias Casaru, alongside partner Ivan Ivanov, earned 3rd place in the Boys’ Doubles U13.

Together, these achievements represent more than podium finishes. They capture a moment when Maltese badminton proved its growing strength across generations a moment worthy of being celebrated as one of the standout sporting highlights of 2025.
