The fourth edition of the Bavaria Gold Class Final has been officially launched at the Malta Equidrome, setting the stage for one of the most anticipated events in Malta’s horse‑racing calendar. The championship, which began with its first qualifiers on 4 April, will reach its climax on Sunday, 3 May, promising a high‑level spectacle backed by months of preparation and fierce competition.

During the press conference, Michael Attard, Marketing Manager at General Soft Drinks Co. Ltd., expressed pride in supporting the event for the fourth consecutive year through the Bavaria brand, wishing owners and drivers success in what is expected to be another tightly contested final. Representing the Malta Racing Club, Vice Chairman Tony Demanuele highlighted the consistently elite standard of this race, noting the fast times and strong performances already seen in the qualifiers and semi‑finals.


Dr Matthew Brincat, CEO of Malta Equidrome, praised the growing public interest driven by a packed racing calendar, while Max Zammit, CEO of EquestriMalta, emphasised the championship’s role in delivering top‑quality racing during the first half of the season. The draw for starting positions was also held, confirming the 12 finalists who will line up behind the autostart: Emile du Var, Hamlet du Vivier, Vincent As, Formi, Cinik d’Aghi, The Lion, El Maco Khalifa, Hampton du Vivier, Feux Verts, Gangster d’Urfist, Genialissime, and Hope.

With strong contenders and rising anticipation, the Bavaria Gold Class Final is set to deliver another memorable chapter in Maltese horse racing.
