Balzan aim to extend unbeaten run against struggling Żabbar St Patrick

Balzan will be aiming to extend their five-match unbeaten run when they face Żabbar St Patrick this evening at the Tony Bezzina Stadium, with kick-off scheduled for 6pm.

Andrew Cohen’s side currently occupy seventh place in the VBET Malta Premier standings with 10 points from seven matches. Their recent draw against champions Floriana highlighted their resilience, although three consecutive draws have slowed their progress.

Żabbar St Patrick, meanwhile, sit tenth with just five points. Adolfo Sormani’s men have struggled for consistency, recording only one victory in seven matches, and will be determined to recover from their recent defeat against Marsaxlokk.

Balzan will look towards leading scorer Oluwatobiloba Awosanya, who has netted five goals, while Mario Fontanella remains Żabbar’s main attacking threat with three goals.

Despite their contrasting form, Żabbar remain unbeaten in their previous four Premier League meetings with Balzan, setting up an intriguing encounter as both teams chase three valuable points.
