AYRTON JON TONNA SHINES IN FIRST-EVER OKNJ RACE AT ISLAND KARTING CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP

The Island Karting Club Championship kicked off its first round in thrilling fashion, with young driver Ayrton Jon Tonna making an impressive debut in the highly competitive OKNJ category. Despite challenging weather conditions, particularly during the pre-final, Tonna showcased determination and skill throughout the weekend.

Qualifying saw Tonna secure a strong P4 position, setting the tone for what would be an exciting race day. In the pre-final, he delivered a fantastic start, climbing to P3 and holding his ground against seasoned competitors. The final proved to be a true test, with intense battles across several laps, but Tonna’s focus and perseverance paid off as he crossed the finish line in third place, earning a well-deserved podium spot.

Tonna expressed pride in his progress, crediting his father—who also serves as his mechanic along with the Pantano Racing Team Malta and his supporters for their unwavering encouragement. “This is just the beginning,” he said, promising to keep pushing hard for the next round.
