Aquahub With Medal Haul At Messina Trofeo Piskeo

Aquahub Malta has returned from its third participation in the 20th edition of
the Trofeo Piskeo international swimming competition trip to Messina, Italy,
with an impressive medal tally that reflects the club's continued growth and
development across its competitive squad.
Over 1400 swimmers from across Italy took part in this event with many top Italian swimmers on the podium.
The weekend delivered a landmark moment for the club when Samuel
Camilleri broke the Maltese National Age Group Record in the 200m butterfly,
clocking a time of 2:09.10 — a milestone that reflects the consistent work
being put in across the squad.
The weekend also saw six athletes reach the podium, headlined by Martina
Galea, who claimed victory in the Australiana (GIRLS) category, alongside four silver medals, an outstanding individual performance across multiple events.
Oskar Schmidt and Ema Camilleri each claimed gold medals, while Samuel
Camilleri added two silver medals to his record-breaking weekend. Caine
Schembri and Michela Camilleri both secured bronze.
Beyond the results, club coaches noted the exceptional team spirit displayed
throughout the competition, with swimmers supporting one another through
both strong performances and more challenging moments — a reflection of
the values Aquahub Malta continues to build within its programme.
Aquahub Malta now looks ahead to the National Championships, taking place
in Malta in the coming weeks.
