Andre Cassar secured top honours in the MSSF Skeet Competition 50+50+25 (T1) on Sunday, finishing with an impressive score of 108/125 at the Malta National Shooting Ranges in Siggiewi. His consistent performance across all rounds allowed him to edge out Liam Sciberras, who placed second with 107/125 after a tightly contested battle that kept spectators engaged throughout the event. Joseph Muscat completed the podium with a score of 98/125, rounding off a competitive morning of shooting.

The competition marked a strong start to the new year for Malta’s skeet shooters, offering an early indication of form ahead of the upcoming season. The event also served as valuable preparation for athletes aiming to secure selection for major competitions later in 2026, including the 1st Skeet Selection Shoot scheduled for 24 and 25 January at the same venue.

With momentum building and participation levels rising, the MSSF calendar promises an exciting year for the local shooting community.
