Alister Camilleri Secures Spot at Hyrox World Championship

Alister Camilleri, a 24‑year‑old Maltese hybrid athlete, has once again earned his place among the world’s elite after qualifying for the Hyrox World Championship taking place this June in Stockholm. Competing in the PRO Solo category, Camilleri continues to elevate Malta’s presence on the international stage.

This marks his second consecutive qualification, an even more impressive feat considering the heightened competition this season. Last year, only 1% of global athletes secured a world championship slot; this year, the field narrowed further, with just 0.5% making the cut. Camilleri’s achievement highlights not only his physical strength but also his relentless discipline and competitive spirit.

In the coming months, he will intensify his training as he prepares to represent Malta once again. He is also aiming for a potential double qualification to compete in the doubles category, further showcasing his versatility and ambition as a hybrid athlete.
