Alfred Vella Borg ends 33‑year era at Mellieħa SC

Mellieħa SC marked the end of a historic chapter as Alfred Vella Borg announced he is stepping down as Club President during the club’s Annual General Meeting, bringing to a close an extraordinary 33 years of leadership.

For more than three decades, Vella Borg has been the heartbeat of Mellieħa SC a steady, passionate and unifying presence whose dedication shaped the club’s identity. Although his presidency has concluded, the committee confirmed that Vella Borg will continue serving the club in a new advisory role, ensuring that his experience and wisdom remain central to Mellieħa’s future direction.
