Alex Borg Congratulates Malta U16 Waterpolo Team For Historic 11th Place Finish

Nationalist Party leader Alex Borg congratulated Malta's U16 waterpolo team on their historic 11th place finish at the 2026 World Aquatics Men's U16 Championships, the nation's highest ever placement at this level.

Borg took to social media to praise the team, saying "well done to the Maltese U16 waterpolo team for placing 11th in the world!" He argued that this is "a result that makes us proud that that shows the great talent of our youngsters," while congratulating the players and all the team.

The team was expertly led by head coach Paul Privitera, with assistant coaches David Cutajar and Stephen Rizzo providing tactical support throughout the campaign. Team manager Silvio Borg ensured smooth operations off the pool deck, while physio Keith Magro kept the squad in top condition during the intense schedule.
