Maltese international umpire Alessandro Amore further enhanced his reputation on the European hockey stage after successfully completing his appointments at the Men's EuroHockey Championship Qualifier II, held in Helsinki, Finland.

The tournament brought together seven European nations competing for a place in the final stage of the 2027 EuroHockey Championship.

Amore was selected to officiate four matches throughout the competition, including the encounter between Finland and Greece, as well as the 5th/6th place play-off between Hungary and Finland. The latter marked his final appointment of the tournament.

Being entrusted with all four of his scheduled matches highlights the confidence that EuroHockey has in his abilities, consistency, and professionalism at the international level.

This represents another significant achievement for both Amore and Maltese hockey, which continues to be represented with distinction in major European competitions.
