ĦAL GĦAXAQ BOĊĊI U18 TEAM AND TRIATHLETE RYAN MUSCAT WIN OCTOBER ATLAS YOUTH ATHLETE AWARD

The Atlas Youth Athlete of the Month Award for October has been presented to two outstanding achievers: the Under-18 team of Ħal Għaxaq Boċċi Club and triathlete Ryan Muscat.

Ħal Għaxaq Boċċi Club enjoyed a remarkable month, adding another success to their senior team’s First Division Championship triumph. Their U18 squad claimed victory in the final against Żebbuġ Boċċi Club with a convincing 21-12 scoreline, earning them the local category award for October. This achievement highlights the club’s commitment to nurturing young talent and building a strong foundation for future success.

Meanwhile, Ryan Muscat was recognized for his impressive international performance in Australia. Competing in a triathlon in New South Wales, Muscat finished sixth in his age category among 77 participants. This result reflects his dedication to rigorous training and his ability to compete at a high level on the global stage.

The award was presented by Atlas Insurance Chief Commercial Officer Robert Micallef, with the Malta Sports Journalists Association represented by President Antvin Monseigneur and Christopher Francalanza.

The Atlas Youth Athlete of the Month initiative, a joint effort between Atlas Insurance and the Malta Sports Journalists Association, celebrates exceptional achievements by athletes under 21. Sports associations and federations are encouraged to submit nominations for young athletes who demonstrate outstanding ability. Monthly winners become eligible for the annual award.
