AFTER 229 HOURS OF RACING, FABIO SPITERI FEEDS STRAY DOGS

Local
After completing one of the toughest endurance challenges on the planet—the Deca Taiwan—Fabio Spiteri’s first act wasn’t rest or celebration. Instead, after 9.5 days of racing, covering 38 km swimming, 1,800 km cycling, and 422 km running with barely three hours of sleep per day, Spiteri went out to buy dog chews and feed stray dogs.
In a heartwarming twist, the first to greet him was the same stray dog that had earlier brought him a mouse as a gift during the race. This emotional moment reinforced Spiteri’s lifelong commitment to animal welfare. Now back in Malta, he is channeling his achievement into #Project100, a campaign to raise €100,000 for animal shelters across Malta and Gozo.
