Adolfo Sormani Appointed Żabbar St. Patrick’s New Head Coach

Żabbar St. Patrick FC have officially appointed Italian coach Adolfo Sormani as their new head coach, as the club prepares for a new chapter under his leadership.

Sormani arrives with extensive international experience, having worked in several countries and held coaching positions at prominent European clubs. His career includes roles in the youth sectors of Juventus and Napoli, as well as serving as assistant coach to Gianfranco Zola at Watford.

The experienced tactician has also managed Südtirol, Partizani Tirana and Danish side Vejle Boldklub, guiding the latter to promotion to the Danish Superliga.

Most recently, Sormani was in charge of HB Tórshavn in the Faroe Islands, where he enjoyed success by winning the Faroese Cup and two Super Cups.

Holding a UEFA Pro Licence, Sormani speaks Italian, English and Portuguese. He will be joined at Żabbar by Giovanni Mazzella, appointed as technical collaborator, who has previously worked alongside him.

The club welcomed both appointments and expressed its best wishes for their new adventure in Maltese football.
