12-Year-Old Miia Clarke Spiteri Called Up to Maltese Senior National Team

National Sports School Year 8 student Miia Clarke Spiteri has achieved a remarkable milestone after being selected to form part of the Maltese Women’s Senior National Waterpolo Team.

Despite being just 12 years old, Miia earned her place in the senior setup and represented Malta in an international friendly tournament held locally. The competition featured senior teams from Malta, Slovakia, Firenze and Volturno, providing a high-level environment for the young athlete to gain valuable experience.

Miia’s inclusion in the senior national team at such a young age highlights her talent, dedication and rapid development within the sport. Her achievement stands as a significant moment both for her personal journey and for the National Sports School programme.
