As Forbes reveal the richest persons on planet Earth for the year 2023, the business global media company revealed that most of the world’s 2,640 billionaires actually lost a considerable amount of their fortune.

The 25 richest people in the world are worth a collective $2.1 trillion, which is down a considerable $200 billion from $2.3 trillion in 2022.

The World’s Billionaire’s list was released Tuesday and revealed that two-thirds of the top 25 are poorer than they were last year, compared to around half of the list.

Jeff Bezos suffered the most, as Amazon shares crashed by 38%, cutting $57 billion from Bezos’ fortune and ranking him at No.3 this year.

Elon Musk suffered the second largest hit, losing the title of world’s richest person after his purchase of Twitter. Musk is worth a whopping $39 billion less than a year ago.

Meanwhile, Zhang Yiming, who founded TikTok parent Bytedance, and Finance founder Changpeng Zhao, lost their places from among the top 25.

On the flip side, Bernard Arnault, head of luxury goods giant LVMH, went up $53 billion to be placed in the number 1 spot for the first time.
