Silver T Free Driving Service Gives Independence Back To Elderly

The Silver T Service is a free transport initiative designed to help elderly citizens carry out everyday errands and stay connected to their communities.

A recent video shared by Anzjanità Attiva and Malcolm Paul Agius Galea on Facebook highlights the heartwarming impact of the service.

In it, Lucy, an elderly woman using the service to visit her daughter, shares how much it means to her: “Really good. Because or else I wouldn’t even see my daughter. God sent it, it gives me liberty.”

The video also features other seniors using the service to attend hair appointments, go to mass, or simply enjoy a coffee with friends, small moments that make a big difference.

Last year alone, the Silver T Service completed around 60,000 trips, while this year that number has already soared to 150,000.

Anyone aged 60 or over can make use of the service by calling three days in advance to book their trip.
