It’s finally here – the official trailer for the final season of Sex Education.

The series finale has been ramping up hype as it sets the stage for the tear-jerking and emotional roller-coaster of a finale.

As the characters we’ve grown to love over the past seasons, including Otis, Maeve and Eric, continue to explore their young adult lives, the story promises to tie off all the remaining plot points before the curtain call.

‘Get your tissues ready, let’s finish together’, the official description of the series states. And ignoring the euphemistic aspect of the description, we’re sure this finale will have all the fans of the series bawling their eyes out.

Will you be watching?

Around 62,000 People Died From Heat During Summer 2022

Around 62,000 People Died From Heat During Summer 2022

Europe endured its hottest summer on record in 2022, resulting in nearly 62,000 heat-related deaths, as revealed by a study published in Nature Medicine.

The research emphasized that heat, often overlooked, is a significant but undercounted threat. Italy saw the highest toll with around 18,000 deaths, followed by Spain with just over 11,000 and Germany with about 8,000.

Shockingly, the mortality rate due to heat was 63% higher in women compared to men. Age also played a crucial role, with a significant increase in fatalities for those aged 65 and above.

The study also showed that, for Malta, 166 women per million died from heat-related causes, whereas 160 men died of similar reasons.

Previously, Eurostat attempted to estimate the heat wave’s impact through excess deaths, but this study marked the first attempt to specifically analyze heat-related fatalities. The research covered 35 European countries and over 543 million people, using this data to create epidemiological models for calculating heat-related deaths.

The 2003 heat wave, resulting in over 70,000 excess deaths, served as a wake-up call, exposing Europe’s lack of preparedness. Despite current prevention plans, they seem inadequate in the face of increasingly frequent and intense heat waves.

Storm Daniel, which passed close to Malta last week, has left devastation in its wake when it struck the east of Libya.

The weather system brought historic amounts of rain across the Mediterranean and North Africa, having ravaged through Greece, Turkey and Bulgaria already.

East Libyan Prime Minister Ossama Hamad told local TV that around 2,000 are feared dead in Derna, with thousands missing. The death toll could be much higher overall as it is currently difficult to confirm the official figures.

The storm now moves towards the northwest desert of Egypt, with the primary concern being it bringing intense thunderstorms and winds.
