Santa Vener Tunnels To Remain Open Due To Firework Cancellations

Transport Malta has announced that the Santa Venera tunnels (northbound and southbound) will remain open to traffic throughout the day tomorrow.
The update comes as part of a change in plans related to the Santa Venera feast celebrations.
Due to forecasts of strong winds, the scheduled fireworks display for the festa has been cancelled for safety reasons.
The decision was taken to ensure public safety and minimise risk during adverse weather conditions.
Transport Malta issued the public notice on Facebook, informing commuters and residents that there will be no road closures related to the fireworks, as the display will not be taking place.
