‘The record draws upon inspirations from modern artists as well as heritage acts, from the lyrical wordsmithery that is Bob Dylan to the hooky melodic songs of The 1975.’

It was produced and mixed by long-time friend and multi-instrumentalist Chris Vella, who has worked with the likes of James Arthur and Bastille, and then mastered by Jordan Timms, whose credits include Dua Lipa.

‘The album includes features from Maltese rapper Milo Banks, and Netherlands-based Pete Galea on drums and percussion.’

Have you given it a listen?

Yesterday, 31st August 2023, Nina the turtle was released from Gnejna Bay in the presence of Parliamentary Secretary for Fisheries Alicia Bugeja Said.

Nina was rescued on 8th December 2022 after getting entangled in marine debris. As a consequence, it could not dive and was then hit by a boat.

The entanglement with the rear flipper caused a lot of damage, and was the cause of the flipper amputation.

However Nina started responding to treatment and adapted very quickly to having only 3 flippers.

The video was shared by Wildlife Rescue Team Malta, with the volunteers who helped Nina recover having wildlife handling permits and training.

Here’s a little appreciation post for those keeping Malta clean and safe day and night – whether it’s on the roads on our shores, or whether its in an entertainment zone or following a national activity or local feast.

The workers of Clean Malta – Cleansing and Maintenance Division are always ready to go on site and make sure that people on the island find a safe environment.

The department also depends on the citizen’s contribution to the work, encouraging people to not litter, to take out the waste bags in the allocated time and day and to pick up waste if possible.
