RyanAir Could Do With A Maltese Lesson After botched Translation

Earlier this week, Ryanair tried to engage its loyal passengers with a message especially targeting its Maltese audience.

However, the airline’s attempt backfired with a post that read, “M’hemm l-ebda ħlas biex tfaħħar meta l-ajruplan jinżel għalissa.”The ‘Maltese’ message left many Maltese users scratching their heads. Social media comments were flooded with corrections, with locals joking that it “sounds like it was translated by a seagull with Wi-Fi problems.” Others were more direct, criticising the airline for using what appeared to be Google Translate.
