U.S swimmer Ryan Murphy had a memorable day at the Paris 2024 Olympics. He won bronze in the men’s 100m backstroke. marking his third Olympic medal in the event. But the highlight came when his wife surprised him with a special announcement.

According to the Wall Street Journal. Murphy’s wife, who is pregnant with their first child, held up a sign reading “It’s a girl !”

Murphy, who got married in September 2023, has often spoken about his wife’s positive influence. Earlier this year, he stated in an interview that she helps him keep things in perspective and reminds him to be kinder to himself when he gets too focused on perfectionism.

Murphy is set to compete in the men’s 200m backstroke today, July 31st, with high hopes for another medal.

She loves to meet the residents and order from the cafeteria, even holding her birthday tea party this year at the home.

Elsie has become a special figure at Dar Bjorn, always returning with a smile and love for the people there.
