Official Adidas technology, by way of the match ball sensor, has confirmed that Cristiano Ronaldo did not touch the ball in Portugal’s goal against Uruguay on Monday.

Former Manchester United teammate Bruno Fernandes secured the Portuguese side’s first goal in the 54th minute, with many stating that Ronaldo celebrated the goal as if it was his own, stirring a fair amount of controversy online.

While many jumped to Ronaldo’s defense, others held by the decision to give Fernandes the goal, which Adidas’ 500Hz IMU match ball sensors have since revealed to be true, confirming no contact between Ronaldo and the ball.

Following their 2-0 victory over Uruguay, the Portuguese national team secured their qualification and almost certainly solidified their spot as Group H winners.

Twitter could be removed from App Store: Musk says he’ll create new phone

Twitter could be removed from App Store: Musk says he’ll create new phone
Nov 29 2022 Share

Elon Musk has hit back at speculation that Twitter could be removed from the Apple Store by suggesting that he could create an alternative smartphone.

The richest man alive took over Twitter through a $44 billion deal, but there has been speculation that Apple is threatening Twitter’s presence on the App Store for ‘safety’ reasons.

This came after Musk responded to a string of tweets asking whether this was true with a simple ‘yes’ answer. Musk says that Apple won’t say why this could happen.

‘Do they hate free speech in America’ asked Musk on the platform as he pushed for an answer from Apple Chief Executive Officer Tim Cook. No response was issued however, and Musk came up with his own ingenious plan.

‘I certainly hope it does not come to that, but, yes, if there is no other choice, I will make an alternative phone’ he said in a Twitter thread.

However, Apple does have guidelines which state that apps are to remain on the Apple Store for iPhones by adhering to these rules. Those guidelines are rooted in the idea of ‘safety’.

The first page reads: “When people install an app from the App Store, they want to feel confident that it’s safe to do so — that the app doesn’t contain upsetting or offensive content.” Musk’s Twitter takeover has been a complete roller coaster ride, and there don’t seem to be any brakes to hit just yet.
