Robert Abela Visits Neil Agius During Training For ‘The Gozo 7’

Prime Minister Robert Abela paid a visit to Maltese endurance swimmer Neil Agius during a training session in preparation for his upcoming challenge, The Gozo 7, set to take place between August 31 and September 6.
This initiative involves swimming around the island of Gozo for seven consecutive days, covering 42 kilometres per day with an average of 15 hours of swimming daily.
During their brief conversation, Prime Minister Abela and Neil Agius discussed the intense preparations currently underway. Agius is focusing on adapting to the challenging sea conditions he will face and is placing significant emphasis on breath control, which will be crucial for the success of his challenge.
Agius acknowledged that this is an extremely tough challenge, but he is confident that it will help raise public interest in physical activity and mental health.
Dr Abela praised Agius’s dedication and emphasised the importance of nutrition as another key element of a healthy lifestyle. He stated that greater importance should be given to nutrition, as it forms the foundation of personal development better eating habits lead to better rest, improved physical wellbeing, and enhanced focus throughout the day.

Neil Agius thanked the Prime Minister for his continued interest and support for his work and initiatives.
